BEFORE YOU VISIT
CAT CAFE OPEN FROM 10AM – 6PM
SIESTA TIME SCHEDULED FROM 1PM – 2PM
- Reserve Your Spot
Reservations are REQUIRED to visit our cat lounge. Space is limited to ensure a comfortable experience for both our guests and our feline residents.
- It's time to hang with the cats!
Each lounge session lasts 50 minutes and begins at the top of the hour. You’re welcome to arrive anytime during your scheduled session, but please note that all sessions end five minutes before the next hour to allow us time to prepare for the next group. Unfortunately, we cannot extend sessions or offer refunds for late arrivals.
- Socks before snuggles
For the health and safety of our cats, shoes and bare feet are not permitted inside the lounge. If you forget your socks, don’t worry—we have reusable shoe covers available, or socks for sale!
- Kids seven years and older, welcome!
Children 7 years and older are welcome in the cat lounge. Guests ages 7–17 must be accompanied by one ticketed adult for each child while inside the lounge.
- Every human needs a ticket
Every guest entering the lounge must have their own reservation. Please double-check that your tickets are for the correct date and time before arriving. Our lounge accommodates up to 8 guests per session, and we cannot exceed this limit. You must show your COLLEGE ID before your session to receive the College Discount.
- Sip, snack, & stay
Outside food and beverages are not permitted. You’re welcome to bring drinks and snacks purchased from our café into the lounge. Just be sure to keep an eye on them—our curious cats may decide they’d like a taste!
- Meet your new best friend
Many of our cats are looking for loving forever homes! Visit our Adoption page or ask one of our team members to learn more about the adoption process.
- Happy cats = happy cafe
The health, comfort, and safety of our cats are our highest priority.
Please review and follow all lounge guidelines during your visit. Guests who do not follow the rules will be asked to leave the lounge without a refund to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone—especially our cats.
FAQ's
What is LanCATster Cat Cafe?
We are an experiential-based cafe that provides a cozy atmosphere, coffee, pastries, AND the opportunity to interact with adoptable cats!
Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes! Reservations are required ahead of time because our space is limited to a certain amount of guests per “cat sesh.” If we have space available, we will take walk-in guests on a first-come first-served basis, but check the booking page before you visit to see if there are any available spots.
You do not need a reservation to visit the cafe and check out the cat mural or grab a tasty drink and snack!
If you have additional reservation questions, email reservations@lancatstercatcafe.com to find out more information.
Is there a fee to see the cats?
Yes – we offer a 50 minute “cat sesh” where you will be able to visit our cat lounges and play with the kitties for a fee of $15.00 for adults, $13 for college students with a valid student ID, $12.00 for children 7-17, and $13.00 for seniors. Children under 7 are not permitted in the cat lounges. You can also visit our cafe space to hang out and grab delicious drinks and see cat-themed art created by local artists!
Where can I park?
There is very limited metered street parking right outside the cafe but less than a block away is the Duke Street Parking Garage which has plenty of parking available!
Are kids allowed in the cat rooms?
Children 7 years old and over are permitted if accompanied by an adult to the cat lounge rooms! Note: since opening, we have updated this policy from 5 years old to 7 years old. This decision was based on our mission to provide and maintain a safe, secure, and intentionally comfortable space for our cafe cats.
Can I bring my own cat to the cat cafe?
Please do not! As much as we love kitties, guests cannot bring their own cats to the cafe, but we will never say no to you showing us cute photos of your cats (and encourage it, in fact).
Do you take in stray cats?
We do not accept stray or surrendered cats at our cafe. Cats are vetted through CAS and our other rescue partners before arriving for the safety of our guests and other cats. Please reach out to a local animal rescue if you find a cat in need.
What types of drinks/pastries do you have available?
We have coffee, iced and hot espresso drinks, steamers, chocolate/strawberry milk, and an assortment of teas for our drink selection! For pastries, we have cookies, brownies, and coffee cake typically available.
Do you have gluten-free/vegan options?
Yes! We partner with Made With Love Not Gluten, a completely dedicated gluten-free bakery for our pastry menu. All baked goods are GF, and some are vegan! As well, our drinks can be made with alternative milks (oat or almond).
Can I eat/drink in the cat lounges?
Yes! Like all cat owners know, cats are super curious and may be interested in your snacks and drinks. We only ask you do not feed them with any food you bring back with you.
Where do you get your cats from?
We partner with local cat-specific animal rescue, Columbia Animal Shelter and Cornwall Kitten Fosters. We also have a bridge program between foster-based cat rescues and the cafe called Rescue Nexus. All of our cafe cats are vetted and adoptable through these rescues.
Do you have events/ can I book an event with you?
Yes we will, and yes you can! We love collaborating with other small businesses and will have events, pop-ups, book clubs, etc. We would also love to host an event for you!
